The UPS system generates high voltages that can be dangerous if unauthorized repairs are attempted. Repairs may only be carried out by trained and instructed personnel.
The UPS system contains a battery energy source. The sockets of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can be live, even if the UPS system is not connected to the mains.
Prevent water and other objects from entering the UPS system and the sockets.
Connect the UPS system directly to the earthed two-pin Schuko socket using only the permanently connected power cable.
The mains connection of the UPS system must be easily accessible so that the UPS system and the mains can be disconnected quickly.
In the event of danger, switch off the UPS system and pull the power plug of the UPS supply cable out of the socket.
Do not throw the battery into a fire - the battery may explode. Do not open the battery - battery acid released can cause chemical burns to the face and eyes.
