The UPS system generates a high voltage that can be dangerous if unauthorized repair attempts are made. Repairs may only be performed by trained and authorized personnel.
The UPS system contains a battery power source. By design, the outlets of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can be live even when the UPS system is not connected to the mains. The battery start function allows the UPS system to be operated on battery power without being connected to the mains. This means a voltage of 230V/50Hz is present at the output of the UPS system.
Prevent water and other objects from entering the UPS system and its outlets.
Connect the UPS system directly to a grounded two-pole Schuko socket only by means of the permanently attached power cord.
The mains connection of the UPS system must be easily accessible so that a quick disconnection between the UPS system and the mains can be performed.
In case of danger, switch off the UPS system and pull the mains plug of the UPS's power cord from the socket.
Important: This UPS system is not suitable for powering inductive loads (electric motors or transformers). Do not connect a laser printer or plotter to the UPS. These devices consume more power during operation than the UPS can supply. The UPS system will then go into overload and shut down.
Do not throw the battery into a fire—the battery can explode. Do not open the battery—released battery acid can cause burns to the face and eyes.
